What is IUOM?

The Independent Order of Mechanics...Is a Society of men and women who wished to form a family bound by Christian Principles and the desire to serve God first and to serve all Mankind. Through Friendship, we create bonds that uplift and empower each member to strive toward their greatest potential. Through Love, we comfort our members and their families in distress and aid in any way we can. Through Truth, we walk toward the noble pursuit of Education and encourage one to question all things because wisdom blooms from the seed of a curious mind. Our international organization embraces all races, creeds, and religions. We learn together, we break bread together and we worship together. We see the need to help our youth in the City of Hartford, thus we have the Youth Sector. Here your child will learn the skills needed in work, education, and life.
